No, It's Not Torture
Are you sure about that? I mean really, some days you got sell annuity payment think, it's all just torture. That's where auto insurance rates comparison real battleground is. Where do you say? It's in your mind.
You can read about, you can do, or you can try routine after routine. In mortgage refinance interest rates end it's all just a bunch of grueling and endless torture. Hmmm... what is this guy talking about? I am talking about working out. It's hard. And some days it just raid data recovery linux sucks.
Oh yeah I know, you're a hard-core freak, and you don't have any time for this sissy girlie man crap. If it's torture give me more cause I love it! And really you know what? Some days I do feel like a hard-core freak! But what do you do on the days you just can't get it to click. You do it anyway right? Of course you do. And on those days it feels like torture.
Oh man, I'm not supposed to admit it. Think about it. Do any of the so-called experts or gurus ever approach the issue of lag and drag? This is exposing the soft underbelly; it's incompatible with the norm. It's simply politically incorrect to discuss such things in the realm of working out and getting fit. It's all about the go-go, I'm invincible, and I won't be denied.
Have you ever felt beaten before you went to work out? Who hasn't? I know, you do it anyway, or God forbid you just skip it.
Usually once I get going, I'm okay. It's just a matter of getting out of the starting blocks. I'm not really talking about those days. Have you ever been almost three quarters through the workout and you just feel like a waste. How do you avoid this sort of a funk?
Here's how I do it. I slow down. That's not the same as saying I do less. It's more subtle than that. I concentrate; I think about it, I take the routine out of the routine. When I do a rep, or flex a muscle, I massage the muscle. I work on the mind muscle connection. I enjoy the feeling of the pump; of the flex. I contemplate what I'm doing, as I'm doing it. I'm not thinking about getting to the end of the workout. I live in the moment and I enjoy the feeling of energy and strength.
Yet I know you're supposed to be doing it that way all the time anyway. Let me put it this way. Maybe you don't count the reps., what you do is simply work the muscle. Enjoy it. Feel it. Live it. Stop and think how remarkable it is that you can do it at all! Go off the reservation, drive without a Missouri Lemon Laws and let yourself have a free run at it. Treat it like a hobby instead of a job. Treat it like something you can do and you want to do; not something you have to do.
I express gratitude. This may seem corny or dramatic to the casual reader. But have you ever stopped to reflect on how lucky you really are? You're able to maintain your physical well-being and do the work that is required to do the workout. This is good news that can be easily taken for granted.
Reflect on this. I do, and it helps me set the stage for better than usual workout when I would otherwise view the whole lot as nothing more than torture.
